Mathematical Modelling and PID Controller Implementation to Control Linear and Nonlinear Quarter Car Active Suspension

In this work, linear and nonlinear designs of active suspension models are proposed to develop improve quarter-car systems. To simplify stability assessment, a second-order system is for both cases. The consists mass, spring, damper components, while the includes same components with additional parts stiffness damper. Moreover, state space presented as preparatory step before applying analysis methods validate models. After that, systems characterized using Matlab simulations compare performance parameters such rise time (tr), settling (ts), peak overshoot (Mp). simulation results each tr, ts, Mp were0.097612sec, 2.3 sec, 0.3839 cm, respectively, were 0.52237 20.16 0.3064 respectively. addition, indicate need ride comfort road handling PID controller design. Consequently, it possible reach better compromise than pure elements, without controller). Finally, improved through application controller, resulting in following values system: tr = 0.10721sec, ts 1.693 0.3682cm. Similarly, showed 0.259775sec, 1.325 0.0734cm.
